      This kit marks my first serious go at getting into traditional wet shaving and I love it! The soap is absolutely delightful and drives the missus wild, which is always good 😉 The alum sticks perform as advertised, closing the (various) nicks that I’ve accrued during the learning process and giving a nice positive sting to remind me not to do silly things like cut myself in the future. The brush works wonderfully with the soap, which allows even a novice such as myself to create a decent creamy lather to protect my face from the star of the show, which is of course the handle itself. The DE89 holds the blades absolutely solid, which means I have no-one but myself to blame when I nick myself, but at the same time, the solidity of the handle is allowing me to get better and better every time I shave, leading to yesterday, when I had a VERY close shave without any nicks whatsoever.

      All in all, great product. Can highly recommend to any novices wishing to dip their toes into the excellent smelling world of wet shaving 🙂

      Since buying this kit, which is excellent value, I have discovered that my skin is not as sensitive, smooth or tender as I thought it was! Started off using the green Gillette blades, as from other contributors comments seemed to be the most forgiving, but found they left more stubble than they removed! So my skin must be closer to a baby elephant. Customer service from you guys is 2nd to none, will be using you again, very soon!

      Finally made the change to a de safety razor after years of using various multi blade razors. I have sensitive skin and since the switch had no issues with razor burn. The razor itself is of high quality and a good weight. I would of given this set 5 stars but the brush kept losing its bristles with each use.

      Using for around two weeks and wish I had purchased a de razor years ago. Much better shave than these 5 blade razors on the market, and these will save you money in the long run. Great selection of blades but I am still getting through the selection so no favourite yet. The proraso shaving soap has a nice shuttle fragrance and lathers up well. Took a few shaves to adjust to a new shaving technique without nicking myself but the alum matchsticks sorted that out. If you looking to have a go with a de razor give this ago. Also great service from shave lounge, free delivery if you can wait a few days and cash back, what else could you want.

Shaves are so much better than these so called 5 blade razors and will save you a a lot of money in the long run. Shaving soap has a shuttle fragrance and looks as if it will last a long time. Still working through the selection of blades to find my favourite but what I have tried so far have given good close shaves. If your thinking about a de razor then give this a go, you won’t be disappointed.       Been using the triple bladed Gillette razors for years and finally after getting tired of them clogging up all the time thought I would try a DE Safety razor. I was not disappointed, they are so much better.

      Absolutely love love love! Was advised to try traditional shaving due to the rising cost of cartridge blades. Must say I have been blown away by the whole process it’s shaving as it should be.       Great starter kit for DE shaving. The Edwin Jagger razor is a beautifully made piece of kit. It’s probably a good place to start as it’s not very aggressive. I paired it with the super sharp Feather blade that came packed with the razor for my first shave – may not have been the best idea as it was quite easy to cut myself. I changed to a Gillette 7 O’Clock Green and that provided a much more conformable shave. I still have many blades to try out (If you change a blade once a week you have over a year of shaves in this kit)

      Prorasso soap is wonderfully slick – I would advise adding the Prorasso pre-shave cream as it really does make for a smoother shave. The brush provided is a bit bigger than expected, so I may pick up a smaller one at some stage, but it lathers really well even with my hard water.

      The service provided was great too (even when I thought my package had got lost, I got a response late on a Friday evening. The package turned up on Saturday.)
