Started shaving properly with this a couple of months ago, then recently switched to Proraso cream to compare. MWF is leagues ahead compared to the Proraso cream (and any other shave gel/goo previously used).
Lathers nice enough. Smooth shave. The biggest plus is that it helps keep your face calm and moisturised, even throughout the day.
At approx. £6, value is great as it will last for ages. I bought the refill puck and used it in a little seal-able tub so I can travel with it easily.
Highly recommended, especially from here!

Gives a thick creamy lather very easily, even with cold water, excellent.

Having tried a few soaps and creams I haven’t found any that match this soap for it’s moisturising properties and overall shaving effectiveness. Lathering can be a bit more work but just make sure you have enough water – add a bit more at a time and lather away.
Price was £5.95 for a puck and gone up a little but it lasts a long time. If you don’t want to spend money on the ceramic version just buy the puck and put in an small plastic container or old shaving cream tub. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Great service from Shave Lounge as usual too.

My husband has returned to this old fashioned way of shaving and is enjoying a very smooth shave daily, plus it’s more economical than buying conventional shaving foam. Happy husband and nice smooth kisses into the bargain!

Great product at a good price.

I am a recent convert to, shall we say ‘proper’ shaving, and have been trying various soaps and creams. Many reviews of this soap said it was really good, but very difficult to use. I haven’t had any problems with it whatsoever.
I live in London in a terrible hard water area, I have used good quality and cheap and nasty brushes, but this soap always gives a great lather and an extremely comfortable shave.
My wife has commented on how much better my skin is since using it. This is definitely the best soap I have used, I prefer it even to the creams I’ve tried. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who wants a good shave and enjoys luxury products.

Brilliant shaving soap. Super quick delivery.

I think this soap is the best money can buy. Super lather and plenty of it. Very good for the skin, most times no need for aftershave at all.

Some people say they have problem lathering this soap. Just make sure you fully load your brush for a good 75-100 swirls. Then lather right on your face.
I love the lanolin in this soap, it makes your face feel really soft!
I would definitely recommend this soap.
Lovely!

I love this soap, and the container is really nice. I highly recommend it.

Have used this for years, and find it to be a real quality soap that doesn’t clog the blade and lathers up well.

As a Bradfordian in exile, I just had to try this. During the 19th and early 20th century, Bradford was the capital of the world’s wool industry. Even up until the early 1950s, the story goes that there were more Rolls Royces in Bradford than in London. Sadly, the wool industry is all but gone in Bradford but it’s legacy lives on in the form of this wool fat soap. I’ve enjoyed using it and like other customers, I’ve found it provides a great lather, subtle fragrance and leaves my skin feeling supple and nicely moisturised. A fine product to match many of Bradford’s finest wool cloths which were exported throughout the world.

This soap lathers up quickly with little effort (I live in a hard water area) the ceramic dish and soap are far larger than I expected. I can see this lasting a long time. Post shave my skin feels smooth, supple and moisturised without being greasy. I will definitely be buying a refill when I eventually need one.

With a legendary status amongst wet shavers Mitchell’s WFS should be tried by anyone attempting to take their shave to the next level. Cheap, long lasting and with incredible results you owe it to yourself to give it a go.
Str8 Shaver –
This is without a doubt, one of the finest shaving soaps available… can be a bit of a ‘marmite’ soap when it comes to lathering, but it has a cult following of satisfied shavers!! Take the time, and it will reward you!

Awesome soap, and I have never found lathering to be a problem, but then I do live in a soft water area. Gives a good creamy lather with a “dream topping” consistency, nice mild scent to it and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth afterwards.
Cannot recommend this shaving soap enough, half the price of many other big brands and punches well above its weight.
The Shaved Monkey –
Really nice soap; pleasant, mild smell and non-irritating to the skin, lathers up OK.

First time I have used this product, usually use a well known brand of cream. What a surprise. Really great. Found that if it is warmed up slightly in WARM water, and using a SOFT brush, gets a really creamy lather. Found this enough for 2 or three passes. Best shaves I have ever had.
Would recommend this product to any serious shaver. Beats other soaps and creams I have used hands down.

For all you wet shavers out there, this is the ultimate shaving soap. It provides fantastic cushion and is incredibly slick. I had heard that it’s hard to lather but that’s not true as long as you don’t use very hot water. It melts the lanolin in it which provides the great skincare.
