I had this starter set gifted to me as an introduction to DE shavin, and I’m really pleased with how it’s performing. The Edwin Jagger razor is beautifully made, and the supplied Sample Pack of blades is an excellent idea to see which blades are best for you. The Proraso shave soap has only a slight scent, which is excellent for my very sensitive skin. Coupled with the Omega brush you can very easily get a lovely lather going. Also very impressed with the service from Shave Lounge! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

A good set to get started into the world of real shaving.
The razor is a good hefty one, easy to use and does what you want it to do! Quite a good one for a starter I feel.
The selection of blades is useful; test out different blades to find out which is best for you.
It would have been nice to have had an explanation for the brush reacquiring breaking in, as it’s a starter set it’s easy for people to not know about that.
The soap is fine, though the sent is a bit unappealing. I’m not sure how to describe it, but I won’t be getting the white pot again (probably go for the red one, but that was out of stock when I was looking at getting this).
The alum matchsticks are interesting. Alum is a good thing to use, but I don’t think anyone would have the as matchsticks by choice. Get an alum block, so much easier to use.

I’ve always been into personal grooming but found shaving extremely uncomfortable due to sensitive skin (the curse of being ginger!). I was told by a friend to try a DE safety razor so ordered this set. The package arrived within two days and I can safely say this has been the smoothest, closest & most comfortable shave I’ve had. Five stars!

I’ve been wanting to switch away from expensive cartridges for a long time but was never sure what to get. This kit is perfect! Great shave, everything feels quality and no irritation. At the same time even ignoring how cheap blades are going forward this was excellent value too.

Fantastic kit, I’ve always had sensitive skin which becomes red and spotty after shaving on the neck and have found this style of shaving to be much better and the shaving soap that comes with this kit to be very easy on the skin. Sampler pack of blades is good, I’ve found some work better (personna/derby) for me than others (feather/astra). Delivery prompt and well packaged also.
